atv cover bearing

Default atv cover bearing
can i remove the cover bearing on a 2008 sportsman 400 ho and throw it away,it's making to much noise................what is it's purpose anyway,i don't see where it's hast to be in their...............

Like I previously posted only tore into one 400 to replace a belt,but do believe the bearing is to stabilize the front clutch from torquing? Try it without and see how it does ?? OPT
