01 DS 650-loose power & dim lights

01 DS 650-loose power & dim lights
I just repleced my reg./rec. on my 01 DS 650. Found 3 broken wires. Now in 2nd.or 3rd. gear when it reves up ,it seems to loose power & the head light goes dim. Could it be the CDI. Can-am Parts call it a Amplifier Box.
Just looking for a place to start. Thanks for any help !!
