Default '01 Sportsman 400 gas leak

My '01 SP started leaking gas when idling yesterday. It appears to be coming from under the enigine/trans area. I checked as much as I could but couldn't determine where it is coming from. The carb is dry, the gas valve & hoses are dry. I'm not exactly sure where the fuel pump is but since it happens only when running & stops when the engine is off I'm assuming the culprit is the fuel pump.

Any help on locating the leak & what to do will be appreciated.

Fuel pump tucked up under left front tire on frame. Trace the lines coming into it and also the one going to the carb, could be leaking there if you're sure its not leaking from the carb itself. OPT

I followed all the lines from the valve to the carb, etc. & back & found nothing. The carb, valve, fuel lines were all dry dry to the touch & eye. All that was wet was the frame under the motor & the floor and there was a steady dripping of gas until I shut the engine off. I didn't take the air filter box off yet- next step to try to determine where the leak is coming from. I've had issues with the rubber hose that connects the cab to the block in the past but I would assume the ATV wouldn't run if that was leaking as much as it was.

I'll have to spend more time searching when I get back home next week. Is there anything else on the ATV that would create a pretty big gas leak?

Check the fuel lines from the fuel tank itself that go to the shutoff valve, the valve itself for leaks, then lines going to the fuel pump, and then the main line out to the carb. If the air box has fuel, then you have a needle and seat that needs to be replaced. OPT
