Guys - I'm new to the sight but would like to see if anyone would be willing to help me in a complete rebuild of a 1985 Tecate 3. I purchased it for $500 with spares. The trike is complete and I would like to either make it 100% showroom condition or change over the front end to an '86. I happen to like the '86 front end much better but I also am aware the Tecate 3 is very rare nowadays so keeping it stock would probably be better off.

Has anyone on here done a complete rebuild on a Tecate? If so, what was your best website for parts and help? I know I need a manual, which might be hard to find. I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to rebuilding atvs and atc, just not real familiar with the kawasakis. I have plans to rebuild a tri-z after the tecate. Thanks in advance.

Time line is 4.5 months.

Hi, did you find any info regarding the front end swap? I was just given an 1985 tecate 3. The front end on these older ones are rough to look at. The 86-87 front ends look great. I was thinking of slowing building it for fun since I have no money in it....yet. Any info would be appreciated!!
