My friends 2008 RZR 800 backfires when he lets off the gas,sputers when he takes off and the top speed has droped to apx.45 mph,he has had it to the dealer twice and they found nothing wrong with it,He has changed air filter,spark plug and has tryed even running high test fuel,seems as if the dealer is even stumped on this,would realy appreciat some help on this as hunting season has started and scaring all animals away!!

 

Did dealer check fuel pressure on the injector rail? Plus there were air box problems on the early models along with dirty throttle bodies,plus we found a few that the t-bap sensor and air boot between air box and throttle body were caked with dirt. First things I can think of. OPT

Sorry i can't help with backfire. but something 2008 rzr owners should know
about ,if the fuel tank should leak. I have been fighting a leak at the fuelpump-tank flang and i can't get it to stop.After the dealer only fix was to buy a new tank with the fuelpump instaled in it.So i tryed to find one online.
What i found instead was recall notices for my rzr. 2008 800 rzr with tank mod#
ro8vh76ad[like mine] are listed in the recall and should be taken to dealer
for repair.My dealer did not say anything about the recall. I am going there
monday to hopefully fix it. Witch He should have done it in the first place.
