My banshee seems like it has a fast idle set up. When it is cold it will idle up and even off untill i snap the throttle then it will slow way down and almost die. then if I slowley throttle it back up it will idle fast untill I snap the gas again. Am I to lean on the pilot jet? Thanks

Probably. I've never worked on a Banshee so don't really know, but I have a nitro RC truck. If I run it too lean it'll idle way up and if I run it too rich the idle won't be consistent at all at it will die without hitting the gas. Not sure if that helps, but that's my experience.

I had a similiar problem with my banshee. Weird idle and sometimes it seemed like the throttle was sticking. I found my throttle cable was cracked, where it splits from one cable into two. Theres plastic in there and when it cracked the carbs wouldnt seat right, because one cable was getting caught up. Causing the strange idle and the sticking throttle.

Too me, It sounds like either an air leak (try the tube between the carbs) or lean jetting.

Get the bike running at idle. Spray water out of a fine mist bottle around the carbs and such. You should be able to determin if there is an airleak anywere.

I think you guys are mistaking what the problem is... When the bike is cold, The idle is higher than what it should be. Once the bike is warm, It kicks down, Like an automatic choke system on a car (high idle) This is the way it is on my bike anyways, After 5 min. warmup and a few burps of the throttle, She runs fine (no surging, no airleaks, with correct jetting, ect.. My bike runs perfectly but it still does this high idle)
