Default Good Deal???

Hi Guys, I am new to the forum, and new to the ATV world. I am looking at a 03 Raptor, and I was wanting to know if it's a good deal. It is bored over to a 686, with a new clutch, and clutch basket, there is approx 10 hours on the rebuild, the seller does not know how many miles are on the quad itself, I also know that it was never used for racing, and it has full skid plates, and nerf bars. He is asking $2k. Do y'all think this is a good buy? Is there any other questions I should ask before buying?

Take it for a test ride, if everything checks out buy it. Make sure the trans shifts well and smooth

Well the thing is I'm deployed right now so a test drive is out of the picture, and I am buying it from a friend that is stationed in NC, while I'm stationed in GA. I trust him, I just wanted to know if there is anything else I could ask him before I tell him that I am going to buy it. He is actually holding for me until I get back.

I'd hold off. May be a great buy, then may blow the motor the first time you ride it when you get back. I trust my friends, but when it comes down to it, I want to be on the quad or whatever I'm buying before I put the money down.

They'll be other deals to be found when you get back.

Thanks for your service, stay safe and make it back home.

Well I will test drive it before I buy it. I just can't test drive it now. I couldn't ever buy a vehicle with out test driving.
