Default Front Locker Question

I was wondering if there is a way to modify my front diff with a locker? I don't want it locked in all the time though... Do they make an after market locker that is engaged by a hand lever like on the newer quads? Or do you guys have any ideas? thanks in advance!

most diff locks are electronically engaged- only exception is with the kawasaki brute force, which uses a lever and cable that gives you "variable" degrees of front diff lockup (stupid design imo)

You might be able to adapt another front diff- but you'll probably run into mounting issues and will need access to a welder.

I think some diff locks also use the ecm (like polaris )

I've never seen an "aftermarket" diff locker

warn used to make the 424 disconnect, but all that did was turn full time 4x4 on the honda to 2x4 or 4x4.

maybe someone else knows better than I...

I thought Warn might make something but from what I saw on their website those products are discontinued. Maybe ask your local dealership if there is a diff. that can be swapped in somehow and look for one on eBay if the dealership is too expensive.
