Hey guys, just bought a 3500 lb promark winch for my 99 kodiak 400. Problem is I can not find a winch mounting kit. I can only find 2000 and up. Im thinking of making a winch mounting plate right off the front of the bumper. It seems that if i mount it behind the bumper the cable will rub on the bumper if pulling out on an angle. Any suggestions or advice from previous Kodiak owners or anybody?

I bought an ox light front bumper mounted it on a winch mount and attached it to front push guard on kodiak with u bolts.....
I did not want to use stock winch mounts which is right above skid plate. it would get covered with mud on every ride.
