Default 2011 banshee turning off. Idle too low?

Hi. This is my first stv and my first post on this forum.

My atv runs fine when riding but if I let it idle it will always turn off. It would idle for a few second an then turn off. It sounds like the idle is too low. Though the thing is when I bought it 2 months ago it never use to do that.

What could be the issue and how can I fix it?

Why don't you find the idle adjustment screw and tweak it a little? It sounds reasonable to me that a carbureted engine may need an idle adjustment after a couple months...

Since Yamaha didn't make a 2011 Banshee I wonder if you made an error on your model year

Where is the idle adjustment screw?
Also could it be the spark plugs causing the problem?

Also Yamaha continued to make banshees after 2006 in Australia, Europe and another 2 countries.

Ah, my bad. Now I'm jealous. I wish I had a 2011 Banshee to play with. The last one I rode was a 1994! Those quads are badass.

I had a picture in my mind that there would be a single idle adjustment **** between the 2 carbs but after searching around I now have the impression that there are separate adjustments for each carb and that special equipment is required to get them synchronized properly.

I'm not really qualified to answer anything about the Banshee so I guess you'll have to wait for somebody that actually knows what they're talking about.

Are you sure you've got high quality fuel and oil mixture at the correct ratio?

Thanks for the link cnc

Also I haven't messed with the banshee cause I'm still new to it. So everything like the idle, air/fuel ratio, etc isn't changed at stayed at whatever Yamaha set it to when when I bought it from Yamaha.

Could the problem also be from the spark plugs?

Very unlikely, dose it start easy? It could be a idle adjustment or air leak, threw a seal or gasket. Make sure your airfilter is clean, and make sure all carb connections are tight -no air leaks. Thats a start.
Also were are you from?
