Hey, does anyone know which of these are better? Pro Circuit or Graydon Proline? I heard FMF Pipes are OK, but they tear up easily. So does anyone have any Horsepower Readings or Decibal reading, I need a pipe with some bottom to mid. thanks.

Everything I am going to say is assuming my pipes are Graydon (which I really think they are...but not -never- 100% sure).
Let's go.

DON'T GET THE GRAYDON!!!!!! NEVER!!!!
I have those POS and they are constantly in for repair (and I'm stuck with the stockers during this time). Why? Pretty simple. Look at all the other pipes, and you'll see they have at least 2 brackets (one before the silencer, and one on the silencer). The Graydon have only 1 bracket on the silencer (yep, the whole silencer/tube holds by one 2mm thick aluminium part), and it keeps breaking there!! I'm going to reinforce them (weld 3 layers of aluminium instead of 1), and if I can, I'll also put a bracket before the silencer. They did a bad job. Those pipes were on the machie when I got it...so I won't change them, but they are crap.

Ya, graydon just isn't an exhaust builder. Hell even their grab bars and nerf bars are going down hill in quality.

If you want a good exhast it is best to get one from an engine builder or a knowledgable pipe builder.

Although I have heard bad things about FMF pipes also.

I would go Toomey, Dyno-port 2n1, FTZ, LRD or Pro Circuit.

ModdedX,
what are they good at making then?
I hesitated before blasting Graydon because I wasn't 100% sure my pipes were Graydon (they were already on the machine when I got it). Looks like it. Too bad

WhatRULookinAt,
If you choose only between Graydon and Pro Circuit...go PC all the way!
If you want fun, get high revv pipes, with a Hiroshima like powerband hit (don't know what brands though).
If you race, you want to improve your lowend to have a more rideable machine and more grip. Then I think Paul Turners are the best.
This said, I won't go further in choosing a pipe since they are all better performing than stock, and the .0001% advantage from one pipe to another is alway arguable. Get what looks best!!

Well, im my opinion, I haven't been ahppy with anything of theirs since '91! I am being honest and not picky.
I have always used there stuff and when MMF first cam out(now AC) I didn't like there stuff becuase i was a Graydon fan. But now I see more and more of AC's stuff out there and it all looks to be better made. The tubing looks stronger, the mounts are soild....

This is just my .02 cents.
