Default Help??

Hi
I'm need to this site as well as ATVs
Just bought a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 400
I think there is a problem with the 4wd, going forward works great but when I put it into reverse it only has rear wheel drive,
Is this normal? ( I hope not )
I'm not the best with computers, tried to search this site for this problem but didn't find any help, unless changing the hub oil would fix it
could it that simple??
any help would be great
Thanks, Ron
PS: this looks like a great site with lots of information
hope I will be able to contribute in the future

If your machine is like my Polaris you should have a ( might be yellow ) reverse over ride button on your bars . You need to push and hold that button in to get 4wd in reverse . When you push it your 4x4 icon should come on on your dash .

The reverse override gives you full power too so it doesn't bog down.

Don't feel stupid, Your not gonna know it all the first day. It's better to ask than to screw around and break something.

it took me two weeks to figure out how to remove my seat on the xp 850- and I was too ashamed to ask

there was no latch- you just pull it off with a good tug! (which I found out after I asked)
