Carb adjustment with snorkel and dyno jet

Default Carb adjustment with snorkel and dyno jet

Hey guys, i have a 2002 Polaris sportsman 700 and i just installed a Dyno-jet kit and a snorkel kit now the question is what do i adjust the mixture screw to, how many turn out? Thanks!

The kit should have given you a base setting! Usually about two turns out,then you can adjust for best idle and throttle response! OPT

I was thinking since i added the snorkel wouldn't it be different?

Just use the base setting first! You'll find out quick if you have to richen or lean the fuel/air setting pretty quick. This adjuster is just mainly for the idle jet and 1/4 throttle fuel ratio setting,plus if it boggs,just open up a little at a time First off from base setting at two turns out while its idling and warmed up, turn the adjuster out until it begins to blubber,then turn back,counting the turns until it runs rough and set in between,then test ride,adjust if necessary. Plus you may have to raise or lower the carb needle? All this depends on altitude,temperature,etc! No clear cut settings on kits! OPT
