Grizzly 700 FI or Brute Force 650i??
#1
I am currently about to trade in my sportsman 500 for something new. I am looking at the Grizzly 700 and the Brute Force 650i. I need some opinions on which would be better. Thanks!

Iam not much of a 4x4 guy. If I remember correctly The BF had issues with frames cracking and tie rods ends failing when riding. You might get more info posting in the yam. or kawi sections. Good luck, anything is better than a popo

I really like my 2008 Grizzly 700 with EPS, good power, nice ride. The Kawi twin cylinders are faster, but I really dont care for the KAPS (Kawasaki's belt drive system) seems like it needs a lot of tweaking and attention, and that damn belt sensor will put you into limp home mode and have you putting along just barely moving. Best thing is to test drive both and see what you like.

the brute did have issues in the past, not so many these days. Yamaha never had an issue with the 600,660,or 700 grizzly that was a mass issue. if there were issues they were very small and almost un heard of anymore. Over the 2,yamaha! Its been out the longest and has proven itself.

A couple of years ago I had a Grizzly 700 and my Dad had a Brute Force 650i. We rode together several times, and switched back and forth between machines all the time. I was really surprised at how much more responsive and how much quicker the Brute Force 650 was than the Grizzly 700. But it felt much more tippy on off camber areas and in turns. The Grizzly 700 definitely had better handling. I really thought they were both great ATVs though. When I was on the Brute Force I would be thinking "I love this ATV, this one's the best". When I was on the Grizzly I would be thinking "I love this ATV, this one's the best". Then back on the Brute Force I would be thinking it was the best again, and so on, and so on, all day long. I never had any problems with my Grizzly, but my dad had some overheating problems with his Brute Force. He seemed to always be working on the fan, or radiator, or something. He may have had more luck just taking it to his dealer and having it checked over, I cant say. He rides a Can Am now though, ... and come to think of it, so do I. We both switched to Can Am.
