Hey guys, I was thinking of getting a new quad. I currently have a 2004 400ex. I usually ride it around my house because we have lots of open land. I also like to ride in the dunes. I have been checking Craigslist a lot and I've found a couple of each type of quad. I was wondering what you guys had to say about each bike, and which you would recommend.

I recommend any of the three. The Banshee does not have the greatest suspension/handling stock, but that engine has ridiculous potential for the dunes. Any other shortcomings can be addressed via aftermarket as well. Either 450 will be a blast with what you describe also. They offer a more well rounded platform for trail riding and deliver razor sharp handling for the dunes.

It really boils down to what you want. If it was me, I would keep the 400 and get a Banshee. If I could only have one, then I would pick a 450.

 

your 400 is probably going to last longer than any of those other bikes, but scooter has a good idea to. I have a blaster for when im in the 2 stroke mood, and a 4 stroke when i feel like rumbling.
