Exclamation Polaris Scrambler suspention

So in I've been looking at a couple scramblers and everyone I look at you can push the rear grab bar down and keep it there and it doesn't come back up. when you ride it it sags a ton and when you hit the throttle it kinda stands up. it seems really saggy compared to a sportsman. is this normal? I'm looking at 2000+ for the year. are they rebuildable or do they just need to be replaced.

Does Polaris make HD (Heavy Duty) springs for the Scrambler also? I put a pair on my Sportsman and it firmed the ride up considerably. The Spring handle the compression and the shock only handles the rebound.

If I remember correctly they did offer heavier springs for the Fox shocks(280# spring),but most of the time just tightening up the shock preload adjuster satisfied most customers. Plus as beergut remarked sounds like the shock needed possibly seals and recharged since it wouldn't rebound and was saggy. OPT

Last I remember the rebuild and recharge of nitrogen was about 65 to 70 dollars at my shop(off the atv). Check around at full service dirt bike shops for their pricing as many dealers don't get this involved in shock and fork rebuilds as we did. Not bad considering a new shock is over 300 dollars! OPT
