I was looking at a 2012 XC450i and when I got to the engine I was looking at the shaft that goes from the engine to the rear differential and noticed some fluid on the plastic skidplate. I also looked at the front dif and there were a few spots there too. I questioned the sales guy and he stated it was the diff "sweating". The unit is in the front of the store close to the window and gets sun all day so it heats up.

My question it sounds reasonable for something to sweat but I own a 06 500 and ther are no sweat coming from those differentials. Question to all of you am I getting bs'd cause I am serious about buying this unit. Also if I buy it and within the warranty period something happens to it, can I bring it to any Cat dealer for warranty work?
