Thats a tough question to answer.Lets just say if you like to go fast then porting has to be in that picture somewhere. Then comes carb, intake, pipe, etc One thing to think about, they can only be as fast as the suspension can handle.

Top speed of a bone-stock Blaster is around 55 mph. Gearing and tire size as well as engine mods affect top speed, so a modded engine with stock gearing and stock tires will still only go 55 mph, you'll just get there quicker. But the engine mods will give more power to pull taller gearing, so really it's a combination to determine top speed. But if I had to guess, from my experiences, a big bore Blaster with a pipe, 20" rear tires, and taller gearing might run 58-60 mph. Throw on some 22" rear tires and it might go 60-62 mph. There are formulas to acurately calculate this, but I'm no mathmetician. You would be lucky to get 65 mph out of a Blaster engine with all the mods that you could do and still run on pump gas.

That's a much wiser choice IMO.

Kudos to dualstroke! Porting would make it faster because you increase rpm's and a suspension upgrade is mandatory in the speed department.

Yeah Blasters are fun and cheap but if you want to go fast then they are not the best choice. A stock Banshee will run about 72 mph, and the possiblities for mods are almost endless. I get tired of hearing people lie and say "my 4wheeler will run 100mph!" BS! It may feel like you're running 100 but in reality you're not even close. I've seen full drag Banshees only run around 120 mph (geared for 1/8 mile track).
