I just got my first quad (a not running '87 yfm 225) it turns over fine, has compression but no spark, when I grabbed the coil it gave me a shock... I'm guessing that means a short in the coil? Just wanted to check with the experts before I shell out for a new one! The coil is also just hanging there so I was wondering if it needed to be bolted on to ground it? I haven't found where to mount it yet and thought that could possibly be the problem? Thanks in advance for any help.
