Default 1995 Polaris 300 4x4 need HELP!!!!

my neighbor gave me his 1995 polaris 300 4x4, it has not been run in 2 years. I replaced the cylinder, piston and starter, i cleaned the carb. It is getting spark and fuel and compression is around 120 PSI, it turns over and will sometimes back fire thru the carb. It will not start, any ideas. i am heading to deer camp Tuesday and would like to take it out.

Welcome! If you have a new cylinder and piston it should show more than 120 psi which is on the low side. A new top end on the 300 should be hitting around 140-145 psi. Plus setting two years you may need crank seals also if you haven't replaced them already. OPT

Check your compression first. If it's decent (above 120 psi or more) move on to the carb.
