Default 08' sports. 500 EFI

I'm second owner of this bike, the previous owner put 400 hard miles on it. I heave put and additional 150 miles of trails and light mud, I was in it yesterday riding from hunting, stopped and turned it off for a min and it wouldn't start back up. When I turn the key, nothing happens..... no speedo console lights, no headlights, no fuel pump sounds.... just nothing. What are some things I should look at. Checked fuses under storage compartment in front rack, they are all good, what next? Any help would be appreciated, I'm a student and have no $ for shop fees

Welcome! Make sure you have power at the battery first. Under the front panel you have a fuse block with a 20 amp main fuse that could be the problem, plus check that the block internal contacts have power along with all the other fuses. I've found wires pulled out from vibration on fuse blocks before. Could be the problem? OPT

Thank you for your reply, I went and started at the battery and followed the wiring harness and to my surprise, I found a ground wire that had corroded and broken away. Fixed the ground and that fixed my problem. Thanks again for the input though

I'm glad it was just a broken wire. I was thinking maybe it would be a bad kill switch.
