Yet another question on Rzr/sportsman wheel fitment..
#1
I know this has been hashed and rehashed with similar bikes but different model years than mine. at least on all the threads I read..so I'll dare to ask it with my exact situation..
I am being offered a really good deal on a set of 4 brand new 27" itp tires and stock 2011 RZR aluminum 2011 12" rims....Will they likely fit my 2006 sportsman 700, will they need 1" spacers in rear or all the way around..or should I forget the whole thing?
Thanks for any help!

They both have 4/156 bolt batterns like most Polaris ATVs. The rear tires will not need spacers there just to much room to spare back there even if you go wider.

not sure just yet..just been told they would fit but would be noticeably inset on the rear..and will need 1" spacers plus new wheel studs and lugs...probably need the studs/lugs anyway for any aluminum wheels i'd bet.

Here's a followup in case someone wants to do this...You DO need 1" spacers front and rear. The rear tires were contacting the sway bar, and the front tires were rubbing the boots on tie rods. In fact I would probably go 1.5 on the rear just to have the track the same front to rear, as the front width is a tad wider than the rear now.
The ideal setup would be 1" spacer/adapter on the rear and use a flat 1/2" spacer on the front along with longer studs to make it just right, but I wasnt able to find a 156mm flat spacer, and didnt feel like spending the time to make a pair for the front.

You need to study up a little before you spout out bad advise like that. Not cool to try to make it sound like you know what you're talking about when actually, you have no clue.
