Default 2007 Honda TRX250EX carb problem

Recently a problem came up on my 2007 Honda TRX250EX. When I turn the fuel on the fuel continuously pours out of the overflow on my carburetor. I have completely cleaned out the carb with brushes and I can still not get the fuel to stop. I have tried to rig a spacer to get the needle to seat but still nothing. Any suggestions other than completely replacing the carb?

Sounds like something is holding the float needle open or the rubber tip is shot. Or the needle seat is shot. If it were me, I'd replace the needle and seat for a few buck before I'd buy a new carb.

I currently have the same problem. And was wondering if his solution worked for you.

Could be a hole in the float and it is filled with gas, causing it to sink, which causes the needle to stay open.

As budedm suggests, it could be the needle/seat or the float. With the carburetor off of the quad, remove the float bowl. Blow into the fuel inlet and hold float in the closed position or turn it upside down and do this. You should not be able to blow any air through it. If the needle/seat, and float are good, then you most likely will need to adjust the float. Good luck and post what you find out.
