DIY: Rear Shock Bushing Replacement $1
#1
Ok, so i was lifting my 01 Sportsman 500HO and saw the bushings were REALLY bad!
I was lucky enough to scrounge around and find some hose, so i said screw it..
Better than paying the $120 for a new bushing kit.
And it worked out so well!! And the ride is definitely better than it was before.
Good luck all!

Youll need:
1ft 5/8 Hose (Get it at your local auto parts store)
Mallet
Razor
Lube
NOTE:
The upper Pin and Lower pin may look alike, but different sizes
Be sure you only do one side at a time.
1. Insert Metal Pin into hose
2. Cut so it has a bevel (Doesnt have to be perfect)
3. Lube the inside
4. Thread it
5. Mallet
6. Trim the other side
Beveling

Mallet

Trimming:

NOT BAD FOR LESS THAN A $1/FOOT!

Good DIY method. If these don't hold up you can try this place. Had some customers use these harder than oem replacements and had good luck with em .http://www.energysuspension.com/univ...-bushings.html
