Believe me I know where your comming from! I doubt I'll be buying another "Bomb" product in my lifetime and most of my friends feel the same as I do after seeing what I went through with them. Blown motor after 20 hours and 2 months out of warranty on my DS. Bombardier doesn't seem to care why it blew. VERY little help from them. Theres not a single guy at the Fire Dept. I work at that will buy a Bombardier product now......and theres 40+ Firefighters there.......a lotta sales lost on ATV's and Ski's because we like our toys. Pay attention Bombardier make things right with us.......or lose more sales. <EG>

Thank you ProEMTPFF. I have followed your posts about your troubles for some time now. I think it's a shame that your motor failed just AFTER the warranty expired. The problem is, Bombardier agreed to help with the repairs anyway, and because they did not help as much as you wanted you now bash them on a regular basis. This will make it just that much more difficult if anyone else gets into a similar situation in the future. Now Bombardier sees that unless they throw away there entire warranty policy and replace motors any time the fail, regardless of circumstances, there will be no satisfying people with a public forum to speak in. If they had done nothing for you, I might be able to understand your deflamitory comments. Since they didn't do enough to satisfy you, I would understand your dissatisfaction and refusal to buy future products from them. But to continuously degrade them despite there help, is nothing but counter productive for every one involed along with any of us that may need similar help from them in the future.

Sorry BUT when I see post like a Trackster 4 MONTHS out of warranty with a blown motor and they get a new one YES I'm unhappy. Seeing others with blown DS motors NOT getting any help...once again yes I'm unhappy. Dealing with arrogant Customer service reps........YES I'm unhappy. I'm not bashing Bombardier, I'm informing the people in these forums on what to expect or not to expect. My DS is running GREAT, I love it, I hope it makes it past the 20 hour mark this time. I'm taking it in on Tuesday for the 10 hour check up and tuning. I'll post the compression and leak down test. So as long as I own this DS I'll keep informing the forum on its status and how I feel about Bombardier customer service. Someone called my house the other day and told my wife they worked for Bombardier and had been reading these forums. They also said they wanted to talk to me but I was not home and no name and number was left. I hope they call back and I hope this call was made to make things "right". But this call was 3 days ago and still no call back as of yet.

I'm not bashing Bomb, but I will bash the Bomb dealership that fixed my bike. They were going to give me 10% discount on parts and labor, but when Bomb got involved they backed out of this agreement and faxed me a copy of the bill with the exact words ,"NO DICSOUNT!!!", on it by the total price. That enraged me, just because Bomb bought the two most expensive parts for the repair suddenly their profit margin wasn't high enough to support the 10% discount anymore. I know for a fact that the parts mark up is 50%. 10% doesn't sound like much but 10% of $3000 equals $300 dollars. Thanks for the help Bomb, but some of your dealers are not helping your image.

In all of my observations, I believe the dealer has more to do with customer satisfaction than the Manufacturer. If you had bought the ATV from a great dealer, they could do ALOT to make all of your problems disappear. All of the 'problems' where people complain the most start with a lame duck dealer. I have yet to hear anyone say "The dealer was awesome, they did everything in their power to help me, they knew all the answers, they knew exactly what was wrong, etc. etc etc... But my ATV is still problematic." ALL of the problematic units I have ever read about started off with a bad dealer (ANY Manufacturer!), which most of the people stated that the dealer did not know what they were doing and that they didn't have quality mechanics. This notation lends itself to the thought that maybe the dealer didn't perform the final assembly perfectly or had some other 'hand' in the malfunctioning of the ATV. Another thought would be that if the dealer wanted to 'hide' the fact they screwed up, you KNOW they'd play dumb.
