Default Looking for first ATV. Narrowing things down.

A few years ago I was in the market for an ATV and had some issues in my life that kept me from buying one. Now I"m back in the market and I guess things have changed.

Here is what I'm looking for and what I've found. I'm a big guy and would like a medium to large sized ATV (500-700). I want the best bang for my buck. I'd prefer to stay under $7500 if possible. I'm leaning toward fuel injection and away from power steering just for cost purposes. I'd eventually like to add a winch and plow and maybe spend some time on the Hatfield McCoy trails.

I've checked with a few local dealers and here is what they've quoted me.
2012 Suzuki King Quad 750AXI. $6799 - $500 = $6299 (suzuki Promo) and 0% fincancing.
2013 Suzuki King Quad 500AXI. $6899 - $100 = $6799 (suzuki Promo) and 0% fincancing.
2013 Yamaha Grizzly 550 EPS. $7499 with 3.9% financing
2012 Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI. $7350 with 3.9% financing
2012 Kawasaki Brute Force 650 (carb). $6950
2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO (carb). $6199

Clearly the 2012 Suzuki 750AXI looks like the best choice. Not only is it the cheapest after promos but also the most powerful and has fuel injection. My only question is how does the transmission compare to the 2013 model? THe 2012 says it comes with a Automatic variable ratio (V-belt), with high-/low-range, and reverse while the 2013 says it has a CVT (V-belt), with high-/low-range, and reverse. IS the CVT better?

I always thought I wanted a Grizzly but the King is more than $1000 cheaper and has 0% interest.

what are your thoughts? Are these good comparable prices to what you guys can get?

One you left out that might be of interest. Polaris 800 HO. Fuel injection, great on board storage, bargain for the price. 2013 Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI Sage Green ATV: Features

Otherwise the Suzuki KQ is a good value for the money.

CVT is a continuously variable transmission. They're probably the same.

I was talking to a friend of mine that said a local dealer is selling 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO out the door for $4999. That's about $1200 cheaper than the dealer I spoke to. I know the 500 HO is caurborated and is kinda low tech compared to other models but under 5k for a brand new full sized atv might be hard to beat. That's cheaper than all of the used late model quads I'm seeing on craigslist.

Does this sound like a good deal?

That's pretty good from what I've seen. See if they have the 800 HO at similarly discounted prices.

I am also currently looking at at either the 2013 yamaha grizzly 700 eps se or the 2013 suzuki kq 750 eps and cant decide the prices at my dealer are close. They seem to be very similiar in design. I am trading in my 2005 polaris sportsman 800, what do you guys think suzuki or yamaha? Thanks.

I'd go with Yamaha. They're supposed to have the best quality. Even better than Honda.

There the same they just used different wording. There all called CVT.

Out of your list I would take the 750 KQ, can,t believe the 500KQ and 550 grizzly cost more!
