Anyone know why there are so many more posts here than other brand quads? I mean there are almost 3-times as many posts as the closest brand (Honda). And Honda suppose to sell a lot more than anyone else? I don't get it. What do YOU think?

I to wonder the same thing. Could it be because of the all the different models that Polaris makes? Seems there are a lot of people looking to modify their machines. Also there is not the (dare I say it)volume of anti-Polaris going on in this new forum as compared to the old. That part I do not miss. Any one else have an idea as to the heavy volume of posts here?

I think its because we ride more aggressive and we continually want to make them faster, tougher, louder, and just plain old badder than EVERYTHING else in the woods.
AND, as Polaris owners, we are kinda like the Harley Brotherhood (women too) of ATV'S.
We like to share tips and tricks about these machines, and it shows that we are the MOST helpful when it comes to assisting our fellow man.
Just a Thought!!

Polaris owners are more leaders and trend setters than followers and our posts are more interesting and full of good advice.

A couple of you guys are pretty confident I would say about your brand. I think that it is because a big number of people own Polaris bikes, and they have a good rounded lineup that appeals to a lot of different types of riders. Then there are people like me who wish their bikes rode as smooth and turned as good as Polaris's, only they are too scared of the lemon factor to ever buy a Polaris. Even though they may be shy to get one, they still like to talk about them and get more information. Now if only I could afford TWO quads???

Not trying to make anyone mad, so for justification to the lemon thing that I just stated, look at some of the topics in the Polaris thread. Drive belt tension problem, Electric speedometer problem, scrambler AWD not working, trail boss electrical problem, broken front sprocket, and every problem you could imagine with Bill Ciliberti's 99 Sportsman. Sadly enough, this is another thing that gets discussed a lot in this thread- problems. I still want a Sportsman though.

I agree with Gordon about the inquiries about Polaris quads. It seems like whenever I ride at a public place I always get asked a few questions from a few different people. I raced 2 Banshees this week-end and "only" lost by 3 quad lengths. I got both of the Banshees out of the hole, if I could just keep my front tires on the ground! I guess I need to sit on the gas tank instead of just leaning on it! Anyway,I got asked the same question. Is that really 4X4? I think they thought I just put the sticker on there or something. Alot of people ask about the tranny mostly, how fast a 400 is & the 4X4 on a quad that looks like my Scrambler does. I thought everyone know about Polaris stuff. I guess not.

I look at it the same on snowmobile sites. I think you see more posts in one brand than the other just because there are more Polaris riders. At least in this forum.

Just like usually Polaris has most posts in sleds followed by AC then doo and last is Yammi.

Sorta works the same as we at our local club made donation boxes it was about 4 ft long divided into the four snowmobile manufactures. Each of the 4 dividers had a picture of the Manufactures sled and you would drop money into your brand for a club donation. Well it worked about the same with Yammi dead last! Looks pretty sad for those boys! lol.

Andy, I think you misjudge! Run a ratio comparison as of now on the number of total topics between honda and polaris to the number of those topics that have to do with actual problems and you come up with the following: Polaris 76 total topics 10 of which are related to problems; ratio 7.6 non problem topics posted to every 1 problem topic posted. Honda 31 topics total posted 5 of which relate to trouble; ratio 6.2 non problem topics to every 1 problem topic posted. This of course would tend to make one think that Honda actually has more problems than Polaris by the sheer number of topics discussing same.

Not trying to be overly defensive of the product but like to keep things in perspective. I will accept correction in the case that my math is wrong.

I just think that maybe Polaris owners have more to talk about concerning their machines based on the diversity of models available. Which may bring up another interesting point, with so much diversity of models I would think that the "reliability factor" could really become quite diluted.
