I know that I do not belong in this thread, because I do not own a Polaris or even been on one, but…

My last MX race in NH showed me something that all you Polaris lovers would like to hear. It rained all morning and the track was a mud pit. I proudly ride a Banshee with Razr’s all around and I could not get any traction. None at all. During the first race, a Scrambler proved how good a 4x4 quad could perform. He ruled the morning race while everyone else was sliding and slipping all over the place. This guy on the Scrambler had plenty of traction. Made all other quads look pitiful. I am a true believer (now) that the 4x4 Scrambler does much better than a 2x4 performance quad, in the mud.

In the afternoon, the track started to dry out and traction started to return. The Scrambler did not win the second moto, but placed in top ten (I think). Don’t get me wrong, I would NOT trade my Banshee for the Scrambler, but this was my first experience seeing a Polaris shine. I have seen the Scramblers rule the 4x4 class on the tracks, even raced against one in my class (novice open). On dry grounds the Scramblers are decent with a capable rider, but I never seen one shine outside the 4x4 class like that day.

The scrambler even made a double jump. I tried it earlier this year and flipped pretty bad (rider error), but the scrambler was making the jump in the afternoon.

So go ahead and gloat, all ye Polaris owners. The scrambler does have it’s place.

Just curious, would you go to the Yamaha forum and post this same letter? Appreciate the good comments though, Scrambler owners usually don't get any good words from a Yamaha man.
