yes $1200 is a very good price for a blaster I picked up my 1996 Blaster in Jan. of 1999 for $1250, make sure you look over the entire quad for other broken things, ask about the motor if anything is wrong with it.a new clutch cable is around $30
Even if you wanted to, you could get the new clutch cable and re-sell it for atleast $1600 and make a big profit if its in normal condition.I would do it if I were you

Definetly check it out before you buy, broken cluch cable could be a good excuse for transmission trouble aka "it runs great but you cant ride it cuz the cable is broken" Ya never know... stranger things have happened....

brokemybanshee makes a VERY good point. The Blaster is a great little quad but I would check it VERY carefully to make sure nothing is being hidden!!!
