utility or sport atv?
#1
Hey everyone I'm about to buy an atv and I'm having trouble which to get. I want one I can just take off from my house and go camping a take a little bit of gear along which a utility atv would be good, but a good amount of the time I Wanna hit the local trails and atv parks which would be good for a sport atv. So would an attachable rack work on the back with say a yamaha raptor for what I'm thinking or are those detachable racks too small to do much with?

If you've got the money, buy one of the new Polaris Scrambler 850s. Has small front and rear racks and is very sport oriented. Another thought is a Can-Am Renegade 500, 800, or 1000. You can get a rear rack from Can-Am and there are aftermarket racks for the front out there. At least for the previous model that went up to 2011. Not sure about the 2012 and newer ones.
Both of these machines offer independent rear suspension for a comfortable ride, automatic transmissions, and 4wd with a high and low range transmission.

The 850 Scramber is just a XP850 with sporty plastics and no racks.
2013 Polaris Sportsman XP® 850 H.O. EPS Stealth Black LE ATVs
The Renegades are just a Outlander with sporty plastics and no racks.
2012 Can-Am Renegade® 800R EFI ATVs
Might as well buy the ones with racks already on them since they cost the same.
