Default quick help needed please, vin decode info

i have been searching 2 hrs. the info probably exists but i can't find it.

i need to know the manufacture date or at least the month of a couple machines. please help.

I have a couple others, the very best thing would be to tell me what digit or info i need to figure it out on my own. thank you very much!

10 digit in the vin code is the year date.

Here's a link to check.

X=1999

y=2000

The vin will only give you the year. There might be a manufacturers sticker left somewhere on the quad that might have the month, but since that is coming up as unknown, I couldn't tell you where it would be. If it's still on the quad.

it looks like there is a mid-year change in the 4x4 transmissions between 99 and 2000. I own both of the machines above and i'm trying to figure out what I have as far as transmissions. I'm pulling my hair out.

Guessing maybe Polaris since it's in here.

Have you looked at any parts diagrams to see if you can tell by that?

do you mean model? the 2000 is a scrambler 400, the 99 is a srcambler 500.

the parts look-up shows different numbers for the front snorkle and right case half for pre 4-99 and post 4-99. and seemingly no way of knowing what is what. frustrating. I just want to be 100% sure what i have and what I need. as of know, I have no clue.

maybe my 2000 was built pre april? i have no clue?

I saw a post on here a while back were a guy told someone there axact build date, i was hoping the info was available somehow.

If anyone will be able to help, I'd say OPT is the one.

Hopefully he'll be along here soon and tell you exactly what you have.
