maybe my 2000 was built pre april? i have no clue?

I saw a post on here a while back were a guy told someone there axact build date, i was hoping the info was available somehow.
Just what are you trying to get??. A clutch cover air exhaust snorkel? Covers did change to the more bulbous ones around this date(2000) or so if I remember from the more form fitting ones to increase air flow. The air exhaust tubes are larger than the previous models. Don't know if this is what you're posting about?

according to the parts diagram at polaris ( and thank you for your response ). they list two different transmission diagrams. one says " before april 23 1999", and one diagram says "after april 23 1999". they are mostly the same with exceptions to the areas of question. the right side transmission case cover. there are two different part numbers listed for the right side transmission side cover and front snorkle drive shaft.

I need to know what transmission I have

before takes a 3233634 subed by a 3233752 and after 4-23 1999 takes a 3233798 i believe.

i'm wondering what i have and what if anything is the difference? thank you very much.

I'm sorry for not stating my situation more clearly.

I would like to put my right side transmission case cover and some internals from my 2000 scrambler 400 (pretty sure built after 4-23-1999) into my 1999 scrambler 500 (pretty sure built before 4-23-1999).

and i never gave it a thought until i saw the the two dates and different part numbers on the part diagrams. thank you again for your time.

If you look at item #34 (oil seal) sometimes it's a change as simple as this to cause the replacement covers (item #38) or other major parts to supercede to completely different part#'s. I believe the cases should be the same, you'd just get the newer part numbered case if you had to order one.I've come across this at the shop and I always got the latest part # if I ordered something. Polaris along with other manufacturers are constantly changing part#'s around, especially if they have input about problems that may be happening.Sometimes I'd get a different part # in when I ordered a certain#,but they would work! Don't know if this solves your problem or not, or answers your question....http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...1999&fveh=5474
