1986 Bayou 300 poor traction
#1
Does anyone else find their Bayou has less than spectacular traction on anything other than hard packed trail? I was out with my brother tonight and his '85 YFM200 will go places easily that I can't at all with the old Bayou. One hill we encountered he was able to get up with no problem but I had to winch mine up the whole way. The old Bayou just wants to spin out, even with the differential locked and decent tires. It was the same in the snow this winter, he could go anywhere but I couldn't get 5 feet if there was an inch of snow.
I'm going to try another set of tires I have with a different tread pattern, hopefully that will help.

I'm quite sure it's not a hub since both wheels are spinning. I blamed the tires but my uncle has the same tires on his Baja 250 and he can get out of where we were last night without much trouble. I just sit there with both wheels spinning, even with my 210 lbs sitting on it.
