can anyone help? 2002 2wd rancher runs great goes great but has rattling in higher gears ? sounds like marble rolling around in there. but goes good? thanks

prop the quad up on jackstands or any other secure way such as overhead hoists so it won't touch the ground. i would prefer if you had an atv jack. BUT, anyways, get it off of the ground and run it. that way you can be near the gearbox/rearend and really listen closely instead of being on the trails and listening from the seat. anyway you secure the quad off of the ground needs to be the safest way you can do it so you or others don't/won't get hurt. what does the oil look like? have any metal slivers or shavings in it? what does it smell like? is the oil discolored? if any metal in there, are they discolored?
