my k and n air filter has a nylon bag around it ?? what would be the purpose of this ? Should I remove it?

 

I believe the term is called a "pre-charger", and picks up a good portion of the debris that is thrown at your K&N filter. Make sure you follow the oiling of the filter out lined in your manual. Should be the last filter you ever need for the machine
