Default DS650 starts and idles great but.........

I am starting a new thread because I now have the machine running. It starts perfect. No choke or throttle needed. It idles great. As soon as I even touch the throttle it dies. I have adjusted the pilot screw at 1/4 turns and nothing helps. I cleaned the carb out good also. What could I have put together wrong in the carb to do this or do I have bigger issues? I had the needle out also. Any ideas? Thanks.

Stock pilot screw detting is 2 1/2. Read omr stock carb mods stickey located on this forum. Float adjustment is important also. Beware of carb cleaners and rubber seals
