I have replaced the fuel pump and the fuel cut off relay and pump continues to run all the time when engine is running. then it overcomes the needle and seat, kills the motor and gas everywhere.what tells the relay to cut power? thanks Todd

 

The CDI pulse an signal the the fuel relay then relay to pump. I gave seen CDI bad on this leg...You will need to check the signal from cdi to see if it is stuck. you could have an wire bad on this side from cdi to relay also...but most likely bad cdi on signal side.CDI is the heart beat of this system.

 

not to sound to stupid but what is a cdi and where is it?

 

Alot of people call it the brain of ignition system...Sitting on the atv its would be in the front right side corner of atv under front fender behind inner fender, bout an 3 inch by 5 inch black box.
