I just bought my son a sportsman 90 and his wrist tether seems extremely light. Sometimes just barely pulling on it will cut the engine out.
My question is this, is the rubber cap suppose to pull all the way out before it cuts the motor or is it normal to be this sensitive.

Thanks,

Ken

You should be able to ride with BOTH hands on the handlebars, hit bumps, make turns and it should not cut out on you.If it does ...it's a safty problem(the kid could go up a hill and if it cuts out???)
the cap should SNAP on and off,if it's on it's on,off is off.Don't let the dealer tell you otherwise

Thanks alot, it doesn't snap on or off...it more or less slips on and off.
The bumps were cutting it out this eve.

Thanks again,

Ken
