I'm not an ATV enthusiast, nor do I know much about them but I've recently purchased several used ones for the kids. One was a Polaris Magnum 325 2000/2001 I believe. The kids promptly burnt out the engine so I looked for another used one I could buy and use this one for parts.

I found one that was advertised as a 1999 Sportsman 335 but that had an Express 335 body on it. It had evidently been parted out and has parts from who knows what on it, but as I delve into putting parts from the 325 Magnum on it, I get a feeling it may not be a 1999 (I suspect a 2000) and may not even be a Sportsman.

Does anyone know how I can tell by the vin or some other marking exactly what I have? I didn't get title but I do have a police vin check so it's not been reported as stolen...soooo I have that going for me...
