2000 xpedition 425 help
#1
The coolant fan stopped working one day. I didn't catch it in time. When I did I found oil in the coolant and coolant in the oil. I bought a clymer book and changed the head and base gasket. I followed the book to the t. Now i have coolant going directly into the case. I have no oil in the coolant. Pulled it all apart had the head checked for cracks and made sure it wasn't warped. Put it back together still same prob. Any ideas out there. Maybe I missed something.

The head may be okay, but the cylinder itself could be warped causing the problem. I'd take both to a machine shop and have a couple thousands or so machined off of both, then install a new head and base gasket.Running hot can play havoc on aluminum parts.
