Polaris ADC
#1
Am I the only one here that is having issues with the ADC?
I have 3 Polaris ATV's with ADC. I have a 2008 500 EFI, 2009 850 XP, and a 2013 550 EPS. Each one of them is needs to be rebuilt every year.
Just changing/flushing the fluid three times at every service is not staying on top of the grinding. I must get the clutch packs or the pump replaced on all three machines every fall.
That works out to just under a grand a year per bike. Writing (no reply) or calling (put on terminal hold) Polaris is a waste of time.
Anyone got a magic cure, or should I trade them off for Yamaha's

I found ADC is a strange option since Polaris has 4 wheel braking and also the much simpler EBS rear engine braking.
ADC is for people who want the ATV to go down a steep hill without any driver input needed to me.
My dads SP500 does not even have ebs yet with Polaris's 40% front and 60% rear brakes that operate with a single hand lever I can get it down any hill.
Some features are just over complicated. I,m waiting for these "My Power Steering will not work" post to pop up in a few years once the system starts to age.

My ADC was screwed up pretty bad but it seemed okay as long as I didn't use it. 4x2 and 4x4 both worked fine. It made really bad grinding sounds that turned out to be the clutch packs. I had the dealer fix it but I still don't know why it went bad in the first place. I only remember using the ADC once and it was okay. It's a bad system IMO and I think they should quit making it.
