I have been wanting to do the headlight mod on my 04 sportsman 400,I know how to do it,but was wondering if I can use a 5 pin relay that I already have sitting around,the local auto supply wants 35 bucks for a new 4 pin.Just wondering before I head to the junk yard about the 5 pin

 

Couple places I looked said either 4 or 5 pin relay would work,plus look at this guy's method on his machine.

 

I watched this video before,it is a 5 pin,if you pause on the shot of the relay itself towards the end,is the red wire coming from the relay(87a terminal i think) just cut short or is it connected to something,hard to tell.
I did see one guys schematic on this foroum and he shows nothing connected to 87a,is 87a and 87 both power sources if you needed 2
