Default stumped by warrior issues

This is my friends 2002 warrior that ive been working on to make sound enough for his mom to take and ride. It is all stock but very neglected by previous owner. The chasis and all drive components are finally off the list now the engine.

The bike was pouring gas out of theover flow and wouldnt run with gas in on pos. We rebuilt the carb with a stock rebuild kit. Replaced the air filter. Replacedthe old fuel. Added a fuel filter incase of any suspected sediment in tank.

Now the bike will not run without the choke on. With choke off there is no throttle response(the bike completely shuts down) tried adjusting the pilot screw but it made no difference while choke was off.

The accelerator pump works (we used pen spring) idk where to go from here carb wise. I gues.its time to check compression? Could this be electrical? And no the parking brake is not the issue

Did you recheck float level sometimes float value in new carb kit is longer in the spring area. Also did you make sure all new jets was opened all the way thru sometime some will have brass slag left in from were the jets got drilled while make jet sized,

If it will only run with the choke on then it is running really lean, starving for fuel. Pulling in too much air will also cause it to run lean. I would start with the pilot jet, it could still have some trash in it. Make sure the float level is not set too low while you have the bowl off.

Make sure it's not sucking air from between the carb and the engine by a torn boot or leaking gasket/o-ring. Make sure the air filter is on correctly, the Warrior's design sucks, and the rubber gasket that seals the filter to the box will tear or not seat correctly.

i did not adjust the float level ill have to check that and make sure the pilot is clear as well. I know the air filter has a tendency to shift on his bike but even when it has it wouldnt run this bad lol.

i dont live near him so saturday will be my first chance at breaking it down again. thank you for the suggestions ill get back if more problems arise
