Default 03 Predator 90 throttle issue, (there is a reason it's not in the kids section)

Okay, we got this quad used. It was/is set up for racing per the previous owner. As with my other son's 05 Predator, they have not been ridden for about 7 months. I don't know what all was done with this one prior to our getting it. I do know the the head was decked, the carb was worked, the pipe was modded... here is the deal. I pulled the carb, cleaned it as good as I could clean it without clinically dissecting it. Put it back on.....

I put Sea Foam and Stabil ethanol treatment in it (closest non ethanol fuel is like 15 miles away), and NEW gas in it. Hit it with a small shot of either to get it started. Hooked the jump box to it, and fired it up. Spit sputtered a second and then it started pulling the fuel like it should. Now here is my issue. Before it got parked and we were riding regular, it ran great. Noticeably faster than the 05 which is stock. Now however, this thing has gone full beast mode. A BUMP of the throttle barks the tires on asphalt. According to my son, it is fast and stupid fast. You cannot give it half throttle and sputter. Give it gas, it goes, stand on it, it goes harder. I am not kidding when I say this thing will hurt a kid that does not respect it, whether he knows how to ride or not. That is why it is in this section. This ain't no kid's machine. I am looking to sell these two and need to do something to tame this machine. Any ideas what might be going on? I mean, before he could do some easy trail riding, now it rides like a drag quad. Thanks!!!

On a modified engine only thing anyone can tell you is to try to put it back stock, but probably would cost as much or more doing this rather trying to sell it out right as is. Here's a parts list and prices to consider. Plus could be as simple as the carb side sticking from a little built up varnish, also if you didn't take the jets out and clean them by hand? Plus could have to do with whatever they did to the carb? People do strange things on these little ones to make them mini racers. I took it apart and cleaned it thoroughly. No doubt it's clean. I cleaned the slide, choke plunger... what I am saying is, I need it to run like it did before. He could ride at 1/4 throttle with no issue. Now, if he bumps it, it will literally squat and bark the tires. If he nails it, it will lay 11s on the dirt portion of our driveway just like a big quad. Adjusting the the idle screw does nothing if I back it out. It will stay running. I am thinking that the slide might be partially open? The power does not bother me at all, my son is capable. I just need it to be controllable if that makes sense...

Only other things I can think of is if an aftermarket stator or "performance" cdi was installed, ignition was altered in any way, plus can't overlook the thing that most people overlook and that's crank seals. Seals leaking or air leaks at the base gasket can either make them bog down or can even make them race wide open if they get warm and start to lean out. Plus sitting 7 months with possible gas in the crank case is bad on seals distorting.
