Default 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO touring EFI (no Fuel)

I was in the country for a ride the other night. I shut the ATV down and she would not start back up again. She would role over but you could not here the fuel pump pumping fuel. The fuel pump would make a clicking noise when I turned the key off. I checked the fuses and they were good. I found a bad relay which was corroded. I would like to know if this could be the problem or if anyone has had the same thing happen. Thanks for your time and any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Could be as you have a fan relay, ecu relay and ignition coil/fuel pump relay. The fan relay is different, but the ecu and fuel pump relay can be swapped. You can try this and at least see if the fuel pump primes up. May or may not without the ecu relay plugged in OR just simply go to an auto store and match the one relay up.

I took the relay out and the relay prong was corroded that bad that one of the prongs broke off and another was almost corroded half way through. I will order a new one and hopefully it will solve the problem. Is there anything that you can do to stop these from corroding? Thanks again!

Niogel or any brand of electrical grease.
