Default Polaris Kokusan ignition upgrade help please!

First let me apologize for being so ignorant when it come to wiring.

I just installed the kokusan ignition upgrade on my 03 sportsman 700.

Problem 1
I have one extra red wire that runs along with the black wire that runs to the kill switch. Can not find anywhere to connect it. I assumed it was extra. But not so
sure now.
Problem 2
When I connect the brown ground wire the atv tries to start with the headlight switch. ???? Found this out by accident. I believe it is the same brown ground harness wire I connected with the stator.

This red wire is buried deep in the the harness under the front panel and most people have trouble finding it. That and grounding problems were the most complaints. Retrace your steps and reread the instructions even though they're not the best.

Thanks I will look for the red female connector.
Yes the instructions are terrible.
The brown harness wire I was talking about has a screw on connector.
When I attach that to the firewall, turning on the headlight switch attempts to start the engine with the key on.
It seems to be the same screw on brown wire I attached under the wire bracket hold down where the stator is.
Does any of this sound right to you?
The old harness had no ground wire attached by stator and 3 brown wires screwed into the firewall.
Really need to get this up and running 2 in of snow now and more on the way

Make sure you attach this ground wire to the other common ground wires and that the mounting spot is free of any paint. Also recheck the ground wire that is supposed to mount under the stator pick up coil wire support plate.Yes this is the same ground wire.

Thank You.. old polaris tech!
You were exactly right. Found red wire in the cable it was tucked in there pretty good had to open it up to get it .
Added the jumper. I was missing a ground wire also. She fires right up and seems to run better than ever. Ready to plow snow tonight. It has been coming down pretty good and you got me running in the nick of time. Thanks again
