My brother n law just picked up a pred 500 its in overall very good condition and been barely ridden through out its life. its a 2003 Still looks new. and I'm certain he'll be coming to me for help and advise with the maint. on this thing. (he's not very handy in the garage) What things to look out for with this machine and do's and don't. Don't know much about these sporty Polaris's.

 

Main thing on the Predator is the valve clearance intervals along with the regular oil changes,etc. Plus this is a shim under bucket type system and most people can't afford a box full of different shims.This is where it's cheaper to have a dealer do this procedure.
