Should the red light on the dash light up with the key on, but motor not started???
Not sure if this light is working. Bought a new bulb, still nothing. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this thing? I wanna make sure it is working. Thanks.

 

Key on=red light on. Ignition on=red light on until oil pressure is up to correct pressure. Motor running=red light off unless the oil falls to an unsafe level.

Thanks. It's not working. Don't know where to troubleshoot from here. Any ideas? Bulb is new. Neutral light works.

 

Check the oil pressure sensor with a multimeter. It's behind the cylinder on top of the crankcase.

 

You can also unplug the connector from the sender by the oil filter. Use a jumper wire and jumper the one wire in the connector to ground and see if the red light comes on with the key in the on position but not running. If the ciruit and bulb is ok the light should come on.
