420 EPS front end issue
#1
Hi,
I have a Honda Rancher with EPS, one of the front tires is pointed outwards a bit causing the handlebars to be crooked when going straight. If this is a tie rod issue I have no problems making an adjustment but want to confirm before I dive in. If there's a chance it's more than that I'll wait and take it to the dealer, but that's a pain since I don't have a trailer right now. Thanks in advance for your help.

Honda sets alot of front toed out an sometimes one is toed out more then other..IMO They do this to make atv handle better at high speeds be cause alot of atv wreck are at high speeds. You can take an string an tie to the rear hitch an pull around rear tires while handle bar are straight bring string beside of front tires and wheels an loosen up tie rod ends an adj toe bout 1/4 inch in to rear of front tire[use string to measure the clearance you want]..you could set straight up even..but just remember doing straight even atv will steer alot easier like power steering but at high speed atv could flip real easy with any quick turns also tires will wear more even also..I do this if atv is used only for hunting or very low speeds for the easy stir. You call..Good Luck

Thanks. It's pretty unsettling as it is, to go straight the handlebars must be pushed a good bit to the right. With handlebars straight the right front tire is pointed out quite a bit, the left appears straight. While I'm only going slow around the property I will follow your advise and leave a bit - but even on both sides.
