Default phoenix rear end grind when jumping it

I bought my 10 year old daughter a phoenix 200 and she loves it. She rides the crap out of it which brings me to my concern. When she jumps it, I mean completely off ground the rear end sounds like the gears are slipping. Rough! I also herd this when she bottoms the suspension in rough stuff. Does anyone know if this is as it sounds? Can this bike take this type of riding? She loves it and wants to race it in a hare scramble.
Btw. Her friend bought the same bike and it makes similar sound.

You could be having a prop shaft starting to strip out that sends power to the rear differential,OR the noise could be even more expensive if it's the ring and pinion gear in the rear differential. This is an entry level machine and not designed for hare scrambles, jumping, etc. Item #9 Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
